On-Demand Career Resources

While SSV is committed to our 1:1 approach, because we believe Veteran connections simply make the Veteran community stronger, we have some new initiatives that will bring resources to Veterans in a quick and easy way.

In an effort to meet Veterans wherever they are, SSV is taking steps to make our resources more accessible. Remember when you had to wait for your show to air every week? Those days are largely gone due to on-demand content. We still want to be your favorite show, but we also want to make things more convenient!

Avoiding Self-Sabotage

Sab*o*tage = To deliberately destroy, damage or obstruct (something)

When people don’t get positive results as quickly as they had hoped, fear and despair sometimes take over and the job search suffers. It is here where people often become their own saboteurs.

Veteran-to-Veteran

"I am presently surprised at how easy the transition was by doing all the classes and courses that Still Serving Veterans offered," said Daniel G.

Cheers to Serving More Veterans!

Still Serving Veterans turns 18 banner, with balloons and fireworks.

Turning 18 is a big deal! While we have our eyes set on the two-decade mark, it's important to reflect on the success, challenges and growth Still Serving Veterans has seen across our 18-year history. According to Forbes, over half of all nonprofits that are chartered are destined to fail or stall within a few years due to leadership issues and the lack of a strategic plan, among other things.

SSV over the years

Over time, organizations change, philosophies differ and missions are altered. The latter can be a problem for some organizations and the audiences they serve - be it for-profit or non-profit.

That said, SSV believes it has stayed the course. Sure, things have changed over the last 18 years. However, our mission remains constant, sustaining and achievable. Our team hires Veterans and every year gets MORE Veterans into meaningful careers. It takes the right team and supporters to achieve this level of consistency. THANK YOU! For keeping our mission alive all these years later.

SSV founding member & former CEO, Will Webb.

SSV founding member & former CEO, Will Webb had this to say when reflecting on the last 18 years:

"In 2006, a few volunteers formed SSV to help our local hero Veterans and their families get the support that an overwhelmed VA could not provide. Praise the Lord...the now world-class SSV team has succeeded beyond our wildest dreams, with record loving care for precious Veterans! Well done!" said Webb.
