A Podcast for Veterans

Presented by Still Serving Veterans, Mission Transition is a veterans podcast designed for service members transitioning out of the military, as well as Veterans navigating civilian careers. Additionally, employers and the business community may find the material insightful.

There’s plenty of stigma surrounding the hiring of Veterans. However, even more pressing - the barrier service members face as they leap to the civilian workforce. The reality is, translating military skills and accomplishment is NO EASY task. SSV has seen this firsthand, having worked for over 18 years to help Veterans find meaningful employment, while also recognizing the importance of supporting their mental health during this critical transition.

Navy Veteran David Lakin will take viewers through these hurdles via in-depth conversations with other Veterans, military leaders, change-makers, and more, with episodes featuring insights from subject matter experts. Topics will also address the challenges faced by National Guard members and how their service transitions into civilian careers.

SSV’s dedication goes beyond just finding jobs. We recognize that a successful transition out of the military means addressing the mental health needs of the nation's veterans—whether that’s in the form of mental health care or advocating for resources within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
