Partnerships, Expansion & Getting More Vets into Solid Jobs

Mark Hart is Ready for you, Texas!

SSV has expanded to the Great State of Texas!

Mark Hart, retired SGM and Still Serving Veterans employee in Texas.

You've probably seen a few of these announcements this year, and more could be on the way! SSV Currently has employees in:

  • Huntsville, Alabama

  • Columbus, Georgia

  • Norfolk, Virginia

  • Fort Hood, Texas

Our team intends to fill an opening in the Fort Liberty area as well! While some of these locations have an office, others are intended to be versatile to meet Veterans where they are.

Mark Hart has a big task, as they say - everything is bigger in Texas! Mark served in the US Army and is a retired SGM. If you are in Texas, feel free to reach Mark at mhart@ssv.org

SSV's newest partner is the U.S. Army Reserve's Private Public Partnership (P3) making SSV an official national career resource for any soldier (and their families) currently or previously serving in the U.S. Army Reserve.

According to Jim King, SSV's Chief Programs Officer, "This partnership will expand SSV's reach into the all-important reserve component of the U.S. Army throughout the country. This partnership is additional validation of SSV's Veteran Career & Transition expertise."

SSV Mobilizes in Alabama & Georgia for Veterans Day

Coverage of Tri-city veterans day parade.

Still Serving Veterans once again proudly sponsored one of the largest Veterans Day parades in the country - right in its hometown of Huntsville, Alabama! SSV won "Best Veterans Organization Entry" for its float! Big Thanks to Carrie Slezak, SSV's Veteran Support Network Coordinator for her creativity this year.

SSV's team in Phenix City, Alabama, which will soon move to Columbus, Georgia also sponsored their parade in the Fort Moore community. SSV is committed to being a champion for Veterans and looks forward to embracing the communities were we have boots on the ground!

Mission Transition Success Stories

Kristal H.

Getting that Federal Job out of the Service is Harder than Some Think.

Kristal made sure she had everything smoothed out and worked with a fellow Veteran at SSV to ensure she reached her transition goals.

A limited number of green lights are available at the SSV main office on Clinton Ave W in Huntsville.

Investing In Veterans

We are so thankful for the All-Veteran Battle of the Brave hockey game that raised $10,000 for SSV.

This was one of the top community fundraisers we benefited from in 2024. We know this game will be back and better than ever in 2025!

This event truly shows how North Alabama puts Veterans first! We could not reach and impact the lives of Veterans without this kind of support.

SSV is thankful for our friends at Axient for their investment in our VA Claims & Benefits Program. This program already secured over $10 million dollars to support North Alabama Veterans in 2024. This money is changing the lives of our service members and their spouses!
