December 2023

A Full Year of Impact

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, it's with immense gratitude and pride that we reflect on the impactful journey we've shared throughout the past twelve months. Together, we've continued to honor our commitment to those who have served, providing unwavering support and transformative services.

SSV wants to express our deepest appreciation to our incredible community of clients, supporters and partners. Without YOU, many Veterans would not get the support they earned. Your dedication and generosity have been the driving force behind every success story and triumph. It is your collective spirit that has made 2023 a year of resilience, growth and positive change.

A Message From SSV's President/CEO

"Our end-of-year numbers tell a powerful tale of impact. Each statistic represents a life touched, a barrier overcome, and a future reclaimed. These figures are a testament to the strength of our community and the effectiveness of our all-Veteran counseling team. As we turn the page on 2023, our team is not slowing down. There are men and women who served this country that could use our help in 2024. It's our job to find them."

— Richard Landolt, SSV President/CEO

“Thank you for all your help. You were right, following your recommendations both for my resume and job searching, within 4-6 weeks I had 4 solid offers, and 2 conditional ones waiting on contract award. I have accepted a position at Torch Technologies. You can add me to the proven success number on your white board!"

Giving Tuesday

As SSV welcomed December, our team kicked off its annual Giving Tuesday Campaign. Since the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts, SSV has focused the money raised from this campaign to our resource team. These funds are specifically allocated to the North Alabama region and help Veterans in need of rent, utility and food assistance.

Check out this interview with WHNT-TV to learn just how important these funds are!
