FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 2025
DEDICATED LEADERS JOIN SSV BOARD TO STRENGTHEN COMMITMENT TO SERVING VETERANS
Still Serving Veterans (SSV), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has spent nearly two decades improving the lives of Veterans through career counseling, VA benefits assistance, and resource connection, proudly announces the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors: Kristen Strickland and Brian Clark.
“I am excited to welcome both Kristen and Brian to the SSV Board,” said Rich McAdams, SSV Board Chair. “Kristen’s history of success in development and event leadership has already elevated our mission, and Brian’s legal acumen and military service bring a depth of knowledge that will serve us well as we grow.”
Kristen Strickland – Business Banking Executive & Community Leader
Kristen Strickland returns to the Board of Directors with a performance-driven background spanning over 22 years in public relations, marketing, business development, and leadership. Based in Huntsville and Madison, Kristen specializes in building strategic partnerships in growth markets and holds deep expertise in SBA lending, business banking, and team management.
Kristen previously served on the SSV Board, chairing the Development Committee. Upon rotating off the board in 2024, she took on the role of Golf FORE Vets Tournament Chair—leading the event to its most successful fundraising year to date. Her efforts brought in vital sponsorships from Bank Independent and her extensive client network. In addition to her work with SSV, Kristen has raised funds for a wide array of nonprofit organizations including Kids to Love, the AUM Foundation, March of Dimes, and HEALS. She holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of West Alabama.
Brian Clark – Attorney and Former USAF JAG Officer
Brian Clark brings decades of legal and military experience to SSV. A graduate of the University of North Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Law, Brian served in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps from 1992 to 1999, reaching the rank of Major. Following his military service, he practiced privately for over two decades as the principal of Brian D. Clark, PC. Since 2022, he has served as Chief Assistant to the District Attorney in Lawrence County.
Brian’s strong background in military law, veteran advocacy, and public service makes him a valuable asset to SSV’s mission of empowering veterans in their transition to civilian life.
