Golfing FORE Veterans!!!

SSV’s 18th Annual Golf Tournament ‘FORE’ Veterans was a huge success. THANK YOU to everyone who came out in support of Veterans. Together you helped raise awareness and over $60,000 of proceeds that will provide direct support to Veterans through SSV’s no-cost services.

On Oct. 12th, over 200 participants and an 'Army' of volunteers joined our presenting sponsors; Five Stones Research Corporation and IronMountain Solutions, Inc. at the RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove. Together we enjoyed a beautiful Fall day on the course, golf cannons, and great company.

"We have been blessed to see this event grow exponentially over the years. Thanks to our supporters and a great group of volunteers this has become a premier event that has allowed SSV to help thousands of Veterans." - William 'Bill' Koch, COO SSV and 14-year Chairman of the SSV Golf Tournament

Making an Impact on Military Service Members

Lockheed Martin and other generous grantors make SSV's VA Benefit Program possible by underwriting program expenses, ensuring that all services are offered at no-cost. Our VSO's offer Veterans and ther families (in North Alabama) expert advice and support when applying for the VA Benefits they've earned through military service.

This program has seen much growth in recent years due to referrals from grateful clients. The small VA Benefits team has assisted over 1,323 clients so far this year and we expect that the total benefits secured for our clients by the end of 2023 will reach $8M. This is all "new money" coming into North Alabama, which undoubtedly has a multiplier effect on our local economy and an immeasurable impact on the lives of these Veterans. ...and with Lockheed Martin's donation supporting our 2024 efforts, we are sure to continue this impact.
