Give in Honor
or Memory

Honor or remember someone who’s touched your life…

You can make a donation to Still Serving Veterans in the name of anyone you’d like to honor or remember. Your gift will help Veterans and their families build civilian lives they love.

For a minimum donation of just $25, the recipient of your choice will receive a heart-felt, hand-signed letter, notifying them about your gift, and their name will be recognized in a special section of our year-end newsletter.

If you have any questions or need assistance with filling out the form, please call Chief Development Officer, Debbie Joyner at (256)384-7274

Year-end Donation Tips

For Tax Credit - Please make online donations via ssv.org/donations before midnight December 31 or make sure mailed checks are postmarked no later than December 31.

Qualified Charitable Distribution as IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) - If you reached age 70 ½ in 2020 or later the IRS requires you to take your first RMD by April 1 of the year after you reach 72.  And every following year you must take the RMD from your tax-deferred retirement accounts. You can donate a "Qualified Charitable Distribution" to Still Serving Veterans (or another 501(c)3) of your "Required Minimum Distribution" and avoid having your RMD added to your taxable income. Please discuss options with your tax advisor.

Your support for Still Serving Veterans is always appreciated!
