One-on-one Career Counseling
If you’re a Veteran looking for your next career, you’ve come to the right place.
Getting hired is more complicated than ever. If you’re not strategically prepared for your job search, your resume will probably be eliminated by a machine before a hiring manager ever sees it. A military career history that many civilians won’t understand can make finding employment even harder. We can help.
Still Serving Veterans has a team of expert career counselors who specialize in getting Veterans into jobs and careers . Every counselor is a Veteran and all services are provided at no cost to Veterans. Veterans can meet one-on-one with another Veteran who can help with job-search strategy, resume building, how to use LinkedIn, interview skills and more.
If you’re a Veteran living or looking for work in the Chattahoochie Valley Region (Phenix City), Central Alabama (Birmingham) or Northern Alabama (Huntsville), use the button below to schedule a career counseling appointment at a time and location that is convenient for you.

We can help. Still Serving Veterans offers a variety of workshops where you can learn the skills it takes to land a job or career in today’s world.
Life & Career Transition Workshops
Still Serving Veterans offers workshops state-wide in Alabama, that focus on military to civilian life and career transition. Ranging from a few hours to full day workshops, Veterans are invited to learn about how to cope with the "roller coaster" of transition and to consider the possibilities of post-military career paths.
VA Claims & Benefits Assistance
Still Serving Veterans Huntsville office has a team of counselors who help Veterans and their families understand the VA benefits they have earned, and complete the necessary claims forms. They can also help identify alternative services or sources of financial support.
With the help of our counselors, clients are able to submit more accurate and complete VA packages ... which often leads to faster and more favorable decisions. Every counselor is a Veteran and all services are provided at no charge to our clients. Appointments are required. Click the link below to schedule an appointment.
Once you submit the appointment request form, a counselor will contact you within 24 - 48 business hours. They’ll ask you a few questions to connect you with the right counselor and they’ll schedule an appointment that’s convenient for you.
The day of the appointment, you and/or your Veteran or military family member will meet one-on-one with a counselor, who will do everything they can to answer your questions and provide the support you need.
Veteran Resource Connection
There are hundreds of nonprofits and community organizations that provide services for Veterans. The trouble is, they're sometimes hard to find, they're not all reputable and some have more resources to help than others.
That's why Still Serving Veterans’ has a team of support counselors who specialize in connecting Veterans and their family members with any community resources they might need - to make the connections between Veterans who need help or access to resources, and those in the community who want and are able to help.
If you or your family has a need (ex. I need help with my bill or finding transportation) or even just questions about anything Veteran or Military related … (ex. are there scholarships for Veterans to become certified in their trade?), make an appointment to talk with a support counselor. We will do everything we can to help.
