Resume Targeting Workshop

Your resume should be built around the job you want, not just the jobs you have had. This online workshop from Still Serving Veterans will show veterans, service members, and military spouses how to adjust their resumes so employers can quickly see their most relevant skills and experience.

During this free session, participants will learn how to review a job description, identify what matters most to the employer, and shape their resume around the position they are pursuing.

What You’ll Learn

This workshop will cover practical resume targeting strategies, including:

• Reading a job description more effectively
• Choosing which skills and experience to emphasize
• Connecting military experience to civilian job requirements
• Making your resume more specific to each role
• Showing employers why you are a strong fit
• Reducing vague or generic resume content

What to Expect

This is a no-cost online workshop for active duty service members, members of the Reserves and National Guard, veterans, and military spouses.

Participants are encouraged to bring a job description for a position they are interested in. This allows the Still Serving Veterans team to offer more specific guidance on how to tailor the resume for that role.
