Job Search Strategies

Find your best job as quickly as possible with practical guidance from Still Serving Veterans.

In this one-hour online workshop, our Veteran Counselors will walk through key steps that can help you focus your job search, identify the right opportunities, and move forward with a clear plan.

Topics covered include:

• Deciding what type of job you want
• Building a focused job search plan
• Identifying useful resources
• Knowing who can help you
• Staying positive during the process
• Troubleshooting common job search challenges
• Networking with other veterans and military-affiliated job seekers

The first part of the session will focus on the main workshop topic. After that, we will open the conversation for questions, discussion, and support with individual job search challenges. Q&A may continue beyond the scheduled hour to make sure participants receive the help they need.

What to Expect

Still Serving Veterans provides all services at no cost to veterans and military spouses.

This workshop is open to active duty service members, Reserves, National Guard members, veterans, and military spouses.

Please bring a job description for the type of position you are looking for, if you have one. Our team can use it to provide more specific guidance and practical tips related to your target role.

All courses are taught by Veteran Counselors who are specially trained and experienced in helping veterans find fulfilling civilian careers.
