SSV Co-founder & CEO Will Webb Announces Retirement & Succession

Colonel (R) William “Will” Webb, CEO and Co-Founder of Still Serving Veterans (SSV) has announced his plan to retire in June 2019. He was the SSV Founding Chairman in 2006 and became the full-time SSV Founding President in 2009.

Will and the Still Serving Veterans Board of Directors have selected Major General (R) Paulette Risher to transition from her role as SSV’s Chief Programs Officer to become the organization’s Chief Executive Officer upon Webb’s retirement.

Will Webb made the announcement during an “Appreciation Celebration” at the home of board chair, Major General (R) Lynn Collyar and his wife, Colonel (R) Sarah Green.

“We are blessed with a brilliant, proven leader whose head is completely in the Still Serving Veterans game”, (See photos below) said Webb, SSV Co-Founder and CEO. “Since joining SSV’s senior staff in 2014, Paulette has grown SSV programs in multiple locations, significantly broadening our capabilities and impact serving Veterans.”

Paulette has been an SSV senior executive for five years and previously served on the SSV Board. She brings a wide range of experience in leading, managing, consulting, and training. She holds a BS and MA in Psychology, as well as an MEd with a focus on workplace learning. She is also a graduate of both the Army and the Air War Colleges.

Paulette is both an Air Force civilian and Army Veteran, with senior experience as an Organizational Psychologist in the Air Force Research Laboratory and as a Major General in the Army Reserve. She was also the first woman to serve in U.S. Special Operations Command as a flag officer.

On active duty in 2002, Paulette served as the President of the Joint Special Operations University and Deputy Commanding General for Mobilization and Reserve Affairs. Upon leaving active duty, Paulette joined Booz Allen Hamilton and led their Organization, Strategy, and Learning team in Huntsville for three years. Subsequently, Paulette served as the Principal Director of Huntsville Operations for DigiFlight, Inc.

Paulette will use her extensive leadership experience and Veteran support subject matter expertise to continue growing support for Still Serving Veterans and expanding statewide and regional outreach to Veterans and their families.
