Boeing & Still Serving Veterans Partner to Expand No-Cost Transition & Career Services
“Every year about 200,000 Service Members make the transition from the Military into the civilian workforce. At SSV, we seek to help them with Career assistance and connect them to companies looking for quality people …because we believe that Veterans make great employees,” said Rich Landolt, Still Serving Veterans’ President & CEO.
“Research shows that 43% of these Veterans leave their new civilian job within the first year. At SSV, we’ve dropped that percentage down to 15% by offering one-on-one Veteran mentors who share the tools needed to learn their worth and locate a job that is the right fit. This generous gift from Boeing will allow SSV to grow this effort and expand our impact.”

Dial 988 – Confidential Emotional Support 24/7

On September 10th, World Suicide Prevention Day, and every day, we want to let you know that it’s OK to ask for help. The national mental health phone number, 988 has been established to offer people in a mental health crisis a quick and easy-to-remember lifeline. This is a critical step in providing fast and accurate 24/7 confidential support to anyone with thoughts of suicide or those experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.
For those who serve or who have served, crises can be heightened by their experiences during military service. If you or someone you care about is struggling or in crisis, Dial 988 – Press 1 for Veteran. There is hope.
Veterans find support from the Jane Lowe Foundation

SSV received our first donation from the Jane K. Lowe Foundation in 2006, the year we were founded. Since then the Lowe Foundation trustees have awarded SSV over $300k in support.
An award of $15,060 was announced by the Lowe Foundation in July to support SSV’s Legacy Endowment Fund, established to ensure that Veterans and their families will continue to find the help and services they need at Still Serving Veterans for many years to come. With this contribution, SSV’s Legacy Endowment Fund topped the $200k mark.
With your contribution or planned gift to the SSV Legacy Endowment Fund, you will become a member of the SSV Honor Guard… a special group of donors who have committed to supporting our future service members and Veterans.
