Your LinkedIn profile often becomes part of the first impression employers have of you. Even before an interview, hiring managers may review your online presence to better understand your background, experience, and career goals.

This virtual workshop from Still Serving Veterans is designed to help veterans, service members, and military spouses strengthen their LinkedIn profiles for the civilian job search. The session will cover practical do’s and don’ts for creating a profile that is professional, clear, and useful when applying for jobs or building new connections.

Workshop Focus

During this session, participants will learn how to use LinkedIn more effectively as part of their job search. Topics may include:

• Building a complete and professional profile
• Presenting military experience in civilian-friendly language
• Choosing the right information to highlight
• Avoiding common profile issues
• Making your profile more useful to employers and recruiters
• Supporting your networking and job application efforts

What to Expect

This workshop is offered online at no cost.

It is open to active duty service members, members of the Reserves and National Guard, veterans, and military spouses.

If you have a job description for a role you are pursuing, please bring it to the session. This can help the Still Serving Veterans team provide more specific guidance based on your target position.
