Resume Targeting Workshop

March 5 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

A strong resume should do more than list past roles. It should show employers why your skills and experience match the position you want.

In this free online workshop, Still Serving Veterans will help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses understand how to tailor a resume for a specific job or career path. The session will focus on practical ways to present your background clearly, connect your experience to employer needs, and strengthen your resume before applying.

Workshop Focus

Participants will learn how to make their resumes more targeted and effective during the job search. Topics may include:

  • Identifying the skills employers are looking for
  • Matching your experience to a specific job description
  • Translating military experience for civilian roles
  • Highlighting relevant accomplishments
  • Avoiding generic resume language
  • Preparing a stronger resume for the positions you want

What to Expect

This workshop is offered online at no cost.

It is open to active duty service members, members of the Reserves and National Guard, veterans, and military spouses.

If you have a job description for a role you are pursuing, bring it to the session. The Still Serving Veterans team can use it to provide resume tips specific to that position.
