Battle of the Brave Raises over $21,000 for SSV!

The Battle of the Brave returned to the Huntsville Ice Sports Center on November 8th—and what an afternoon it was. Veterans hit the ice for a high-energy charity game cheered on by Havoc players, mascots, and supporters from across the community. Thanks to strong attendance, a lively Havoc jersey auction, and incredible generosity all around, the event raised more than $21,000—more than double last year’s inaugural total. Every dollar fuels Still Serving Veterans’ mission to help Veterans build meaningful, fulfilling lives after service. It was a powerful day of competition, camaraderie, and commitment to those who served.
KODA Cares Grant Supports Veterans in Need

Still Serving Veterans is honored to receive a grant from KODA Cares to support Veterans in need. Charitable giving is a core part of KODA’s culture, with team members nominating and voting on organizations through their semiannual Pitch Day program. Through KODA Cares, they also engage in service projects and partner with others to fundraise for the community. We are grateful for their support in helping Veterans and their families thrive.
Heroes Run & Ruck New “Hero” for SSV

The inaugural Heroes 5K Run & Ruck, hosted by First Solar at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, kicked off bright and early on November 15—and it delivered an inspiring morning of energy, purpose, and community spirit. With more than $6,000 raised to support Still Serving Veterans, participants showed up in force to run, walk, and ruck for those who served. Three members of our SSV team took part, and we’re proud to share that two of them placed in their respective age groups. It was a fantastic first-year event, and we’re grateful to everyone who came out to make a real impact for local Veterans and their families.
Back-to-Back Winners at the Veterans Day Parade

Still Serving Veterans was proud to march once again in the 2025 Huntsville Veterans Day Parade—and even prouder to bring home the Best Veteran Service Organization Float award for the second year in a row. Our team, volunteers, and supporters showed up in full force to honor those who served, and the recognition was a meaningful reminder of the spirit and dedication behind our mission. It was a great day to celebrate our Veterans and the community that stands with them.
Heating Things Up

Still Serving Veterans had a great time participating in the KW Huntsville Keller Williams Realty Chili for Charity event. Our team—proudly competing as “Beefy Hot Stuff”—brought plenty of flavor and plenty of heart. We were honored to join Honoring Veteran Legacies as this year’s beneficiaries and appreciated the opportunity to share our mission with the community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, sampled our chili, and showed their support. Your enthusiasm helps us continue empowering Veterans and their families every day

Double Your Impact

This year, Giving Tuesday isn’t just a single day — we’re celebrating a full week of generosity! Now through Tuesday, December 2nd, every gift to Still Serving Veterans will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Redstone Federal Credit Union, up to $5,000. Your support can double the number of Veterans we’re able to help with life-changing career support, benefits assistance, and community resources — all provided at no cost to them. By giving, giving early, or sharing the opportunity with a friend, you’re helping us reach twice as many Veterans who deserve a strong path forward. Join us during Giving Tuesday Week and turn one act of generosity into two — together, we can make a powerful impact.
